Crewman Nigel King, when reporting on the absence of wildlife seen by Kingfisher's crew, mentioned "The sight of a giant squid with a body length of around 1 metre was amazing [could be the anti-biotics at work]".

That would probably make it 4 or 5 metres with tentacles. Jules Verne must be watching.
