Countdown to Challenge finish
With more wind than expected we are closing fast on our waypoint Raz off the west coast of Brittany. After this we turn north, the wind is likely to do the same and the fleet could spread out, after what has been a drag race across Biscay.
This morning we watched helplessly as, SAIC, BG and Barclays sailed past us, VAIO sailed under us. A frustrating morning, but in these conditions where the wind is light, reasonably un-predictable and isolated, anyone can win and loose.
Between here and our Solent finish we have some nail-biting sailing, and we're looking forward to the first sight of England after ten months. We'll also see our last sunsets of the race, sunrises and even Dolphins. For now we are focused on sailing fast, and making those lost miles back-up on the leaders.
