What's on for Saturday at Skandia Cowes Week?

As things wind down here at Skandia Cowes Week after last night's celebrations, there is still plenty going on ashore to ease you into the weekend. With many classes still racing today, most of the action is taking place on the water.

Today is your last chance to Try Sailing for free with Skandia. Why not go out for a blast to blow the cobwebs away? A qualified instructor from the UKSA will introduce you to this exhilarating sport. The UKSA provide all the kit you need to get out on the water. To register go to the Try Sailing/Skandia stand on the parade or the Sail 4 Cancer and Gipsy Moth stands in Cowes Yacht Haven.

If all that sounds too energetic then how about a visit to the Skandia Parade Village where The Castle Jazz band will soothe your aching from 12:00, followed by The Plugs and Dot Com. Whether celebrating or commiserating, see the silverware being dished out at 20:00 at the overall prize-giving for Skandia Cowes Week's sailing champions.

If you are still up for a party, soul disco band, Lovetrain, take to the stage at the Yacht Haven tonight and Northwood House plays host to DJ Wars featuring Radio 1 DJ Fergie. For more information, go to their website at www.northwoodhouse.co.uk
