Series leader Peter de Ridder and team aboard Mutua Madrilena have won the opening race of the Breitling MedCup TP52 championship in Ibiza this morning.
Caixa managed to stay ahead of Bribón after a close, race-long battle and Siemens finished fourth just ahead of Rush who, in the closing stages of the race, managed to pip Orlanda to the post.
The wind remains constant at 6-7 knots and the second race, comprising a 1.8nm beat, will start shortly.
