According to Louay Habib - Atlantic Quest's publicity man, Dom Mee and his British Ocean Rowing Team are currently setting a record pace on their Atlantic record attempt. The team comprising Mee, Ed James, Tom Rendell and Pete Bird set off on Sunday at 1000 from La Palma.
Mee contacted the shore team by 7E Satellite Phone yesterday morning - exactly three days after departure from La Palma and reported that everything was going to plan. "All is well on board and we are pleased with our progress but this is a marathon not a sprint and we are keeping plenty in the tank for the days ahead of us… At the moment we are in great weather conditions; 15 knots of wind from the east helping us on our way to Barbados."
