Lively Lady's passage from India
After a 3,200-mile passage from Cochin in India, Alec Rose's blue 36ft (11m) yawl has arrived at El Gouna, a new town on Egypt's Red Sea coast. Crew members Jay Williams (22) and Victoria Henton (17) have been enjoying terra firma, as they wait there with skipper Alan Priddy and mate Colin Heath for a crew changeover. Sir Alec Rose's famous circumnavigating yawl, a symbol of late-1960s solo ocean exploration, will be on view to the public for the next five days, before leaving on her next leg: Egypt to Valetta in Malta. Lively Lady is due to arrive back in her home port of Portsmouth on 5 July. To follow her progress, visit www.livelylady.net.
