Lively Lady home at last
Lively Lady sailed into Portsmouth on 5 July, to her second hero’s welcome since the boat’s first circumnavigation under Sir Alec Rose ended almost exactly 40 years ago. This time, the cheers, the flotilla fleet of about 30 craft and the presence of HMS Mersey, were for this stout project led by Portsmouth skipper Alan Priddy and manned by volunteers and local youths.
