Lively Lady to go around again
Lively Lady, Sir Alec Rose's world-girdling yawl, just back from her second circumnavigation, is preparing to go round the world for a third time - and the project is being run by a teenage crewmember from the recent voyage.
Lauren Harris, who has yet to celebrate her 18th birthday, will be overseeing the five-year run-up which will include a thorough refit for Lively Lady. Alan Priddy, head of the Raymarine Lively Lady Project, says he had no hesitation in putting Lauren forward for the job. "She was a kid when she came to us - now she's a young adult," Alan told CB. "She's a real leader - she's absolutely got it. She exemplifies what this project has been about."
