Ocean Eyes on the prize

OceanLED, in association with Sony, have launched an underwater camera which is set to revolutionize the leisure boat market.

OceanLED claim that the product named Ocean Eyes will give crystal clear picture quality from the 1/3-inch Sony HD digital camcorder which is protected by Tritonium glass, specifically designed to inhibit barnacle build up, therefore preventing scratching and maintaining a clear picture.

The company say that installation is a simple process requiring a 1.5" hole in the hull then the camera is factory sealed meaning that it is completely water tight. Corrosion proof housing is also used in the process to ensure longevity.

Lee Savage CEO at OceanLED says: "We are extremely impressed with the quality of the new camera. We predict it will become as popular an option as underwater lighting over the next few years as customers are able to watch the dolphins swim alongside them, see the marlin take the bait and the fish swarm the boat."
