A reminder from the 'ice storm' at Lake Geneva in 2005.

Wednesday, 26th of January 2005. The local weather forecast announced a great cold coming to Switzerland.

Soon, aided by the wind, a massive ice layer materialized around the lake! The Ice Show spectacular was guaranteed for anyone who dared to attempt a lakeside walk, where the wind gusts reach 110km/h (60mph).. you guess the temperature...

On Yachting Monthly's Scuttlebutt chat forum, John Cain wrote:
"...reminds me never to leave the cockpit fridge door open in future!"
