Sika systems are ideal for use on all types of craft, from small sailing yachts and motor boats, through to large superyachts and commercial vessels.
Whatever the job at hand, Sika has the answer:
Sikaflex 291i - Sealing
Sikaflex 291i is a non-sag, one component polyurethane adhesive/sealant specifically developed for the marine market where structural strength is not critical.
It is suitable for making elastic, vibration-resistant joint seals, and can also be used for a variety of interior and exterior sealing applications. Sikaflex-291i bonds extremely well to the materials commonly used in marine construction like wood, metals, metal primers and paint coatings (2 component systems), ceramic materials and plastics (GRP, etc.). Sikaflex-291i must not be used to seal plastics that are prone to stress cracking (e.g. Perspex).
- Wheelmark approved
- 1 component formulation
- Highly elastic
- Low odour
- Can be over painted (check for compatibility as some single component paints may not be suitable)
- Bonds well to a wide variety of marine substrates
- VOC and emission free
