View Full Version : If you think you're hard enough...
Try The Painters Arms (as in dinghy painter and not shop-front painter) in Cowes. Round behind The Anchor. No food, no kids, no carpet, just drinking and fighting.
Try the Fleetwood Arms
Boddingtons
Good Menu - Fractured spare ribs, broken leg of lamb, bruised kidneys.
Traditionalists will like the sawdust - the remnants of last nights furniture.
Don't think the wussies of Cowes stand a chance against these boys.

Buca, suburb of Izmir, The Wild West of Turkey. Any coffee bar (standard male gathering place there - no pubs to speak of, but carrying your liquor in a black polythene bag is acceptable). Gun fire at night a regular occurrence, meat cleavers the preferred alternative weapon. All foreigners deemed to be carrying wads of cash and considered fair game. Wearing your poofy deck shoes not a good idea here. Glaswegians are no match for these guys.
