International Certificate of Competance

I wil be leaving my boat in Redon from August onwards - as this is 20 miles inland - do I need an ICC in addition to my Yachtmasters cert?

We're in Rochefort, c.15nm from sea. I believe ICC needed beyond first lock from sea. Yet to be asked for it but believe some have been!? Not difficult to obtain and useful if you ever get further into European canal system. just in case...
