ATM's in French Canal System?

Anyone know how available or how few and far between international automatic teller machines might be in the French canals?

Although I can't answer your question directly, I can say that nearly every small town of over 2,000 inhabitants in Brittany has one or two ATM's. I suspect ATM's would be relatively easy to find in most small towns and cities along canal routes.

I would agree with Bob. Although I didn't log it down specifically, I had no difficulty using my ATM card when ditch crawling from the Channel to the Med, either in shops and supermarkets or at ATM's in small towns on the way. john

Plenty of them. More widespread thasn in UK
