Internet access along French Canals?

Okay (thanks for the word on ATM's), does anybody know how often one might find internet cafes along the French canal system?

I have not found so many of these, possibly because I have not searched them out. We use an Ericsson 888 mobile with a lap-top and it gets us e-mail. Too expensive for browsing though.
