A-Z 2nd hand Beneteaux

Read the May issue with usual great interest; but was particularly keen to read the cover article referring to used Beneteaux. Dismay, no mention of my boat a First 305, surely enough were sold in the UK to merit a mention? WillJames Jermain be covering it in the next issue?

Sorry - no.

Unfortunatley, so many models of First were produced that the editor and I agreed it was impossible to cover them all. Of course, more 305s were built and sold in the UK than many of the boats I have and will be mentioning, including a number of very popular and well known British makes.

I can only plead that I tried to give a flavour of the whole range and covered a representative cross section from which a buyer could intelligently interpolate the style of the rest.

I appreciate that owners of individual models will feel disappointed, but then the article is aimed at buyers, not owners.

I hope this did not spoil your enjoyment of the rest of the magazine.
