Lunch is best value, and gives you hours and hours to eat and still stagger round a museum before they throw you out.

They have a v flash dessert trolley with loads of things you'll definitely like, making a single choice a bit tough. Experiemntally, i asked for a "farandole "of all the starters and they went into overdrive the magic word triggering two platesfuls of litle bits of almost everything, each, at no extra cost!

Espadon is very generous with drinks, more drinks and even freebie digestifs afterwards. Even so it's probably best to walk back to the boat, rather than take a cab, this restaurant being inside the ritz in place vendome and being the very place where Di and Dodi ate before they took a cab and then razzed all over the driver's face on the way home and therby causing a smashup and, incidentally explaining the high alcohol level of the non-drinking chauffeur, er this is a bit tasteless, even for me, but anyway....

How much?
And did you have to book.
I need to know these things before it goes in my little black book!

OK, I am moderately impressed but would still begrudge lining Fayed's pockets.

However, for real service I feel you must go a little further afield, to Asia.

Always book ahead. If it's gonna be busy, book a table for three, and "start without your friend". If it's popular, stand in (say, for london) trafalgar square and announce that you arte calling from the canadian embassy.
