N Wales cruising

I'm going sailing for a week from Conwy, N Wales. As an East Coast sailor, my experience of those waters is very limited (one previous weekend from Plas Menai northward). Has anyone any suggestions on places to go to or to see?

I sail out of Conwy. Beg,borrow or steal a copy of the North West Venturers Yacht Club's " Cruising Anglesey and the North Wales Coast" Try Abermenai, Rhoscolyn, or Porth Wen.

If the weather is half-way decent you could try for the Isle of Man.

Remember to turn back your watch if you do - about 25 years should do it.

Seriously its a great place.

One further thought, the local winds around Conwy can be funny, its often worth poking your nose out even if Conwy itself seems a bit rough. Works the other way around too.
