Ace race on the Crouch.

There is an all clubs race on the Crouch on Saturday called the Ace race from Fambridge to Burnham. We are weighing up whether to do this or make the trek round to Southend for the Nore race.

Does anyone know anthing about the Ace race? I have googled it and not come up with much.

No, Vreny and Solene will be getting changed quickly after the race to attend a certain Forumites Premier Social Event!!

Brian, its a very good race, much easier to attend than the Nore, and in river. Good shakedown for Robyn.

Methinks many others will be attending the wedding of the century Jim , this would explain our difficulty in locating suitable accomodation for the event , if the race is going past Burnham would this count as a flypast

Ah, well, we thought about it... but unfortunately decided to be sensible and spend the morning working on the devil boat (AKA pirate boat or Duvel). Hopefully launch her at the weekend in time to have a bit of fun using her Sunday morning. ACE race is a good day out... I was lent Solene's predecessor to take an all female crew out racing... didn't do too well (it helps if you start with the right class) but we certainly turned some heads and got a lot of respect. (might have been the pink t-shirts and fake plats for those of us with short hair that did it)
