What about the Harty Ferry Inn, Sheppy. Ok its not right on the medway, but its not far from the river

OK, to hell with it. Unbolt it and we'll use it as an anchor!

Is it possible to temporarilly moor there on floating pontoon so you can go and get a drink ?

To be honest I dont really know. I have heard that its not a good idea to leave anything about for the light fingered brigade to walk off with. I've only been there a couple of times with a mate that keeps his boat down there. Lucky bugger lives 2 mins from his boat now as well. We went ashore in the dinghy and left the boat in depper water.

OK, to hell with it. Unbolt it and we'll use it as an anchor!

Better than Harty Ferry is the Shipwrights Arms on the other side of the river, I think the only pub in North Kent in the Good Pub and the Good Beer guide? It is just up Oare Creek, and can only be got at about 3 hours either side of high tide, if you anchor up in the Swale and take the Avon.
Also Queenborough Yacht Club has a good atmosphere

All the eateries that are any good require the skills of the SAS to get to them(fighting your way ashore/watching your rear etc). The one or two that are close are all beyond Maidstone and you need to be an long distance walker to get to them...........the only two you can moor outside are ......well if your really that desperate for a drink..........OK ish.

lets go over there I am sure I saw a blue bit of sky
