Just a warning to anyone planning a visit.
THERE IS NO FUEL IN TORQUAY MARINA, and I understand there is no intention of getting any this year due to engineering works.

But Brixham is only a couple of miles away. So no sweat.

Nearest place for petrol alongside, would be Dartmouth, I think, the barge, LPG haven't the faintest!

What a load of rubbish. There is a fuel dock, on the starboard side as you enter the marina. Not part of the marina but a permanent fixture which the marina chooses not to compete with. No need to go all the way to Brixham (and get splattered with seagull s**t). Yes Torquay is having £22million spent on the harbourfront etc. and yes, you CAN buy fuel there

Yes there is a fuel dock.
Yes it is a permanent fixture.
Yes it is independently run.
No it has no fuel of any kind. It has been run dry for the engineering works.
How do I know. I was there 10 days ago and had to get almost 300 L of petrol from nearest garage.
Marina did try to buy the facility but price was too high.

As a ex-local I can tell you that there will be no fuel until next Spring! It is closed off while the 'wonderful' waterfront development work is carried out - can't wait for the aviary!

The same happened to me as I leaving to deliver my boat back to the Solent at the end of the local regatta - so off to Brixham we pottered - only to discover that they were also refuelling and I would have to wait an hour and half while the fuel settled - guess who kicked themselves for not planning earlier!
