Hi everyone

in my quest to build my own boat i have decided on doing some training - so far i've found two places one in southampton college and the other in lowestoft.

Has anyone had any experiences with colleges in the UK?

Could anyone recommend a college?

All advice much appreciated.

Depends on what type of material you intend to use.
you could try
the mother of all marine lincs site they have plenty of boat building sites listed .
One thing about Uk places they are both expensive and will only because of time give you the basics .
Perhaps you'd be better trying to find work with a good boat builder, at least you'd get paid while you learned.
Cheers

Falmouth has a jolly good course, it's also a good place to be as there is now the Maritime Museum and various other projects going on.
