Generator Diesel???

Just a thought

If you have a boat (Displacement cruiser?) with an electric drive say 75KVA (100hp) powered by a generator can you use red diesel without paying duty?

No- the rules will be that you can't use the fuel for 'propulsion' so this would not be allowed.

If the battery can be charged from the mains and the boat can motor along without the generator running I reckon you should be OK.
