View Full Version : "Mischief"
While out on a rib today we saw the gorgeous sight of a Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter making its way down the channel, with all sail set. It was "Mischief", the new pilot cutter, reminding us all of the famous tales of Bill Tilman and his exploits. (The powerboat instructor didn't seem all that interested for some strange reason /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif )
I wasn't able to get pics at the time, but she is due into Portishead tonight, so I'll try and get some photos tomorrow.
Might pop along and have a look if I get the chance, please post a couple of pics in case the Cgristmas shopping takes over the whole day.

I sailed on Theodora, belonging to Chris Ellis in the mid 60's when he loaned her to OYC in the days when they sailed out of Gosport .
Looking forward to the photos.
Well done
I went down in the morning to get some pics, but they had decided to leave early and not wait for the weekend /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
She was at the Underfall Yard in Bristol at the weekend.
Here's a previous reconstruction:

Interestingly she had a square transom, rather than the elegant curves on most pilot cutters
Mischief is still at Underfall yard, where she was built, should be there for another month or so
