Beta version is here (http://www.sailonline.org/windy/run/107/#).
Well, I'm entered, though I haven't even finished the first leg yet!
With any luck, I may finish just in time to start the 2nd! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
It won't last but I am currently first in the practice session! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
YBW_dyflin has relaunched under new sponsorship.
Started leg 1 two weeks late as I was away --- need to now make 1600 miles in 6 days to start leg 2.
or can I just enter for leg 2 anyway wihout finishing leg 1???
You can still rigister and enter leg 2 even if you have not finished leg 1. After you register, when you open the client after logging in you get to pick which race you are playing. Or from the SOL home page just select enter race to go to the web based version

i will try and do better in the second leg. Checked to see where i was on VOR and i am parked on an island inbetween cape town and buenos aires! I am just poking a stick at it to see if it is still alive. Looks like i wont complete the 1st leg as they are closing the leg in thursday and i am still 1500 miles out.
I am looking forward to SOL leg two!!!!! Bring it on!

when is the inport race?
And does it count towards the rankings?
The inport race starts tomorrow at 17:00 UTC. I believe it does count towards the rankings.
It's 90 miles but if it drags on too late I'll probably give up. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

A pity it is not the real thing because I am up to 5th in the practice!
I'm doing better than you because I've made mistakes that I can learn from. I've also got room for improvement.
You've done everything right so you can't learn anything. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But I have a cunning plan for the real thing!
Only problem with that is with over 1000 boats taking part there is a good chance someone else will have the same cunning plan.
Thanks for that Spyro have now entered for leg 2-- boat name Jolini.

I learnt that on the official game! Did not not go extreme enough? Now third in practice.

2nd now! looking very well placed, /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Since you are now 2nd in practice, you won't need your cunning plan. Can I buy it off you? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I suspect it is more Bladrick than Blackadder!
Once again I won't be around for the start! Hopefully the nice safe commands I've added will alow me to avoid africa, unlike the way I failed to avoid spain last time.....
