View Full Version : Volvo tacho

I am in the process of replacing the switchgear and other instrumentation on a Fox 700, AKA Cleopatra which has a VP 145B installed.

I am trying to find a suitable replacement for the tachometer which is looking rather worn, to say the least. I point blank refuse to cough up £300+ for one which has a 'Volvo Penta' transfer on it. Vetus do one but again, this is £300 but for a diesel.

Does anyone know of a suitable replacement at a resonable price? I would prefer an analogue unit.

PS For anyne who is upgrading/changing instruments, check out www.fireboy-xintex.com

A US outfit with some quality kit.

Why would you want to pay " £300+ " when the replacement tacho kit retails for less than £219.00 from any Volvo Penta dealer?

Yep, ASAP supplies in Beccles do the full range of Faria guages (fitted to Chris Craft etc)in lots of different colours and styles and they cost nothing, service is great I use them all the time in my business
