Have you used Post Restante?

Can anybody help us please? We would like to find out about using Post Restante services as so many readers need an effective service to forward mail when they are cruising. Do you have any contact information, and how effective have you found the service? thanks Suzanne

I do not know if they would greatly object but, why not send it care of the (for example) British consulate?

In th Uk, just ask at your nearest main Post Office. I'm sure it used to work fine although there was a maximum period of time for which they'd keep mail. Probably a small charge as well.

It sounds French. Presumably the same system works with foreign Post Offices.

But why not have your mail re-directed by the (UK) Post Office from your home address? Also, some banks will forward mail to you addressed to them. Both services will cost, of course and probably more than Post Restante.
