Dan, this new forum software is constantly marking all threads read for me, including sections I never visit.

This occasionally* happened on the last software but was quickly fixed by expiring the cookies on my machine... Is this still available and if so, where?

If not, may I request it is added to your list of things to do please?

J

* occasionally being maybe once a month, this is happening to me daily on this version. (firefox 3.03, Vista home).

Looking through FAQs I found How do I clear cookies?

You can clear all your cookies set by the forum by clicking the 'logout' link at the top of the page. In some cases, if you return to the main index page via the link provided and you are still logged in, you may have to remove your cookies manually.

If that works ok, but it doesn't explain why the forum keeps marking all the posts read every hour or so...

Lakey, I think there's something more fundamentally wrong so I don't think clearing cookies is the answer.

DW, I've had similar problems, and other strange things happening. I PMd Dan and got a reply yesterday. I understand he was/is sitting down with the development team at some point today and this was going to be one of the points for discussion.

Something has changed, the back button is now working properly, i.e. the pages have stopped refreshing every time.

Whether this will fix the everything becoming read so regularly, time will tell. Seems to be on the right track though, well done Dan.
