Just beware a gang seem to be on the hamble lately, my 8hp yamaha was tampered with last week 5.8.2009 they tried to cut the lock cable but gave up.

Marina owners (Eastlands) Not really interested, he says neither will Harbour Master or local police, I noticed marroon / red paint on my boat stb quater where they hung alongside trying to remove engine and footprints on platform, however no one interested, seems they used another boat to lift any gear.

This is not quite true, the Harbour office and Marine police unit are taking all the incidents of theft and damage on the river very serious and any such incidents should be reported to the Marine police on 0845 045 45 45.

Please be aware there has been another theft of a large (225 hp) outboard on the river. Make sure all gear is securely stowed or removed by you!
