Water Skiing in the Solent

Any suggestions as to where I can safely learn to water ski with my kids in the Solent? I'm moored at Port Solent so I don't really want to have to travel too far. I have a 21 foot Bayliner. Many thanks.

You used to be allowed to water ski right up the Hamble way past Bursledon. Hayling was another area. Most councils operate a speed limit within half mile of the beach. Having said all that I am bitterly out of touch on these matters.

There's a designated water ski area up Langstone Harbour and even a landing/resting stage in the vicinity as well
