Under Mattress "wicking material"

In my last boat I used a wierd material about 15mm to 20mm thick. It allowed ventilation under the mattress, as the product was essentially a very loose woven man made fibre, which created an air layer under the mattress. I can't find where I got it from, can anyone give me some help here?
