Last Weds/Thurs night my local yard was broken into, the thieving s**ts took 3 outboards (one was mine) and as many stainless props as they could get off!

Anyone being offered a 5HP Suzuki long shaft give me a shout cos mine was alpha dotted! Other motors were a 100hp & a 150hp.

Prop's seem to be a popular target; most people inc' me thought they were being melted down, but if stainless ones are going...then again if it's the type I suspect they might not know !

Might be worth keeping an eye - or I think you can place a standing search ( watch ) on E-Bay ?

Which yard? Marks or somewhere else? Hope you get your engine back, thieving scrotes.

Yeah it was Marks yard by the rail station. I guess they'll all be long since sold on by now. Kind of helps me make my mind up about refitting an inboard!
There could be a string of "How do I do this" type questions coming along soon:)
Cheers

Not good. Mark's a top guy and no doubt very upset at this. He used to have someone living on site but I guess not anymore. And a close shave for me, almost put a RIB with a 150 Merc in there just a few weeks back.

And check on boatsandoutboards, there's a few Suzukis on there.

This thread reminds me of a time puerto mogan (Gran canaria), where we'd docked for the night, went to a resturant and came back to find that some theives had half inched my mothers clothes - as you can imagine, she wa very upset!!! Bad luck, it says a lot about the uk right now!!!!
