A slightly unusual viewpoint.

Up the Deben?
Woodbridge Tide Mill is on the left, but I have no idea what the hill opposite is called.

Nice photo. I never really appreciated the hill opposite was so high.

Can't be Essex, we only have Leylandii
Tide Mill from Sutton Hoo?
Certainly looks like the Woodbridge Tide Mill, but cannot think of name of hill.

Really nice picture. Different angle shows the river nicely.
Were you visiting Sutton Hoo at the time ?

Yes, indeed, the Deben looking upriver towards Wilford Bridge with the Tidemill on the left.
Taken in November last year while on a walk to Methersgate. Left the car at the NT car park and started from Sutton Hoo.
The viewpoint is from Ferry Cliff, which I had no idea was so relatively high until that day. It is between the 10 and 20m contours on the map.
Raedwald and his crew must have had a tough job on their hands getting their double-ender uphill from the riverside to the burial site, which is around the 30m contour.
BTW, the boat with the tan sails in the photo is, I believe, the Hillyard double-ender Lottie Blossom, once owned by Arthur Ransome.
Here is another pic taken on that day at Methersgate Quay (it was very windy).
