The Green Man - Bradwell Waterside , nice old smugglers pub - good beer - cheerful and fairly cheap (at least when compared to London Prices) with a roaring open fire

I think it is the place to go when the bar is open in the marina! I have to say I am a regular.

Have not been in in thirty-three years - no reflection on the Green Man, have not been into Bradwell since they built the marina! But it was well thought of as a yachtsman's pub long before that!

I have to agree with you. I have been into the marina yacht club on 3 occasions and have found the locals look round at you as if you have come from Mars. Every other yacht club I have ever been into has made me feel welcome. However the Green Man makes a trip to Bradwell worthwile. It has good food and well kept beer. I have never found the marina staff very welcoming either!

Went back in 33 years later just two weeks ago (Maurice Griffiths talk at Bradwell YC). Good pub, lovely taproom, good food and beer.
