I am planning a cruise with the family again this summer. If it's under F4 on the nose or F6 behind we'll just set off, and never mind what the kids or SWMBO say, they always winge a bit anyway, let's be honest. We'll just lie about the route, pretend we're going to somehwere not far away like weymouth, and sneak out from lymington at 6:00 am when they're asleep and we don't have to pay either.

Suggested itinerary

Day 1 A long way away, for lunch
Day2 Even further away for lunch
Day3 across the channel for lunch and dinner
Day4 Not Jersey cos it's ****
Day 5 Somewhere in France for lunch
Day 6 home again, home again, jiggetty jig.
Day 7-10 boatfixing

Sound the same as every year, lets do something new this year. Would be nice to limit days 7 - 10

Good point. Also noted there's no provision for spending a day in the swindlers buying obscure stainless steel things.

1. buying stuff and leaving it in the pub
2. buying stuff and leaving in the next chandlery along
3. something to do with adjusting ropes and laughing at other people only slightly more useless than we are.
4. something to do with getting wet.
5. breaking something fairly important and lying about it to SWMBO
6. adjusting something, and breaking it, then more lying to SWMBO
7. buying some food for dinner, then going out anyway.
8. Pretending that it's okay in the rain

don't forget days 11 - 365. Earning enough brownie points to do it again......
