Hi thought if I post it on here, mite be better, ideas needed,

1/ do we have a land based meeting or water based meeting.

2/Can you borrow or use or have a boat for a boat meeting,

3/ would you be happy to give a berth to those who don;t.

4/ Do we make IT Lady's only.
Are we taking the kids!!!!!![ if you have any] or partners too.

5/ do we plan a weekend type activity or just meet up for the evening.

6/ or something like a beach BBQ.

It would be nice to get something organised now or at least started.

Julie, these are my commenst/suggestions.
1) land or water. I would prefer water if at all possible. but could mange a land-based meeting if the majority find this easier.
2) Hopefully our boat will be ready in three-four weeks.
3)We will have spare berths I am sure
4)Ladies only? Chldren I do not mind at all. Then I could bring my dog. Partners; mine has just been away for a month leaving me to work on the boat alone. But being very magnaminious, I would allow him to come too, if this is the general direction of opinion. points to consider, if the forum have another meeting in Cherbourg, for example, and we have banned them from ours, we may not be invited to theirs. Also they are good at buying the drinks (of course, we pay for our own!).
5)Weekend or evening. Either would be fine. But if we sail to a venue, it will take up a weekend.
6) I am not particularly a beachy person, but will go with the majority. If there are children, the beach would be better for them.
I am planning to go on holiday from the last week in July, at least that is when from when I have cancelled work. If any help is required in setting up some form of entertainment or whatever, I will be available to.

You know madam's opinion on this. Only reason she wouldn't contemplate single-handing Eulimene is that she ain't got her VHF certificate, if you can believe it. Think she harbours plans for a "humiliate the other halves" boat handling competition...

Hi

1) A meet would be brilliant either would do.

2) Unfortunately we don't have a boat (yet!).

3) Would if I could ........... we have a tent, does that count?

4) The other half would love to get the chance to meet other halves, and they do get served quicker at the bar. Don't have kids or a dog, but have no strong objections to either.

5) We live quite away from the south coast............ so wouldn't make it for a quiet Wednesday night drink! But don't actually mind.

6) Don't mind ! But as someone else said kids would probably like it.

Hi
I'm in Greece so unlikely to be able to make a meeting over the summer, but please keep me posted on what is happening. so if I'm back in the UK I can try to come along.
And maybe some of you might be interested in a trip here one day .... sunny, sailing in swimwear, good winds.
We have a 44ft sloop which I can borrow if we don't have charter or students.
Cheers

1) Suggest 7/8th July We're based in Shoreham. Saw phanakapan was Brighton, but guess that most will want Solent! Any earlier and it will need to be Channel Islands.
2) If we need to sail to Solent would need to bring either female crew or husband (can't hank on all those headsails on my own)
3) Depending on crew situation, could sleep 1 or 2 more
4) Like the idea of meeting other ladies. Fight/sail with husband rest of the time.
5) Weekend - evenings are too frantic
6) Include beach BBQ / petanque

9/10 /11 or 17/18th July good for me. -also maybe 7/8 Aug
Solent is a bit far for me to make in my boat on my own, but more than willing to take crew (1 or very cosy 2) from Brighton or to crew for someone else. How about getting to wherever by boat or land for Fri pm, taking whatever other halves/crew/kids we need, then on Saturday do a women only day sail- perhaps with a lunch stop -on available boats, followed by an evening meal/BBQ/ for everyone?

9-10-11 of july would be good for me and like your idea of a weekend thing, does mean we could use fewer boats and dissapear with them from mid morning to mid afternoon,

Ok. My available weekend dates are 7 or 14 Aug (taking the boat to France 24 - 31 July, doing a flotilla in greece 22-29 Aug) but could also do midweeks with kids. And could theoretically get back from France to wherever for Sat 31 July, depending on weather and my partner- who is a miserable sod and wouldn't be up for attending!
Venue- if Solent area or further West, in my boat, I would like/need crew from Brighton, but also more than up for crewing; or arriving by land and stay on someones boat /camp/cheap B&B.
Or I could stay at my Mums in Newport Isle of Wight. (The Folly is quite close)
OR you could come to sunny Brighton- in which case I could sleep a few of you on my boat (large forepeak double, quarter berth, at a push another for a very short person)(boat =26', old and tatty, but dry). There is also camping 5 mins away. The marina has cinema, 10pin bowling, lots of new restaurants/bars etc to entertain "the others" whilst we do our ladies bit.
(I'm not pushing Brighton- just "putting it in the pot")
It probably will be just be me; but maybe 17 yr old daughter, and/or 13 yr old son.
PS I've never had my anchor out of its locker and don't have a dinghy so a marina/Quay location would suit me best- unless someones willing to give tuition!

I'll consult the half and see what dates we can come up with. Got a feeling the work diary will be a nightmare when I check (sigh)

And as it's a Friday. Here we go a joke for the girls .....................

On a flight to Chicago, a gentleman had made several attempts to get
into the men’s restroom, but it had always been occupied. The flight
attendant noticed his predicament. Sir, she said, “You may use the
ladies room if you promise not to touch any of the buttons on the
wall.” He did what he needed to, and as he sat there he noticed the
buttons he had promised not to touch! Each button was identified by
letters WW, WA, PP, and a red one labelled ATR. Who would know if he
touched them? He couldn’t resist. He pushed WW. Warm water was sprayed
gently upon his bottom. What a nice feeling, he thought. Men’s
restrooms don’t have nice things like this.

Anticipating greater pleasure, he pushed the WA button. Warm air
replaced the warm water, gently drying his underside. When this
stopped, he pushed the PP button A large Powder Puff caressed his
bottom adding a fragile scent of spring flowers to this unbelievable pleasure. The ladies restroom was more than just a restroom, it is a tender and loving pleasure.

When the powder puff completed its pleasure, he couldn’t wait to
push the ATR button which he knew would be supreme ecstasy. The next thing
he knew, he was in a hospital! As soon as he opened his eyes, a nurse
was staring down at him with a smirk on her face. “What happened?”
he exclaimed. “You pushed one too many buttons,”replied the nurse.
“The last button marked ATR was an Automatic Tampon Remover. Your penis is under your pillow.” Men Never Listen.......
