My elderly E300 Honda generator has started producing 290 - 340 volts AC and 11 - 16 Volts DC. I cannot find out how to alter this and, in any case, it would be very expensive to have it repaired by a Honda agent. The engine runs well and starts easily. Anyone interested in buying it for spares? £25. It is probably a buyer collects job because it weighs, I should think, about 10 Kg. I live in West Sussex
Hi
You have probably checked, but is the frequency setting, set correctly as this could cause an increase.
If you dont have the user manual you can download one here

Many thanks for your reply. Yes the frequency was set correctly but, of course, it may not be working that well; will obtain a frequency meter and check. Thanks also for the reference to the user's manual. The only one I could find on the net was the E600 so the correct one may help (circuits etc)
