erm . . .
I dunno what that is, but it's got a paraffin tank . . . which doesn't suggest solid fuel.
Small solid fuel heaters seem to be like hens teeth. Been keeping my eye open for a second hand Bengco or similar for over a year with no success. I would like to get some plans and commission one from an engineering friend, as a new Bengco seems insanely expensive for what is essentially a stainless steel box and a bit of pipe.

I made mine from a gas bottle I found on the riverbank. Not only cleared river of rubbish, but got a good heater for a couple of days work.
Take a look.

excellent!
Have fitted a rack of some sort in the main body or does it simply burn at the bottom?
please don't take this the wrong way but I really am interested in how the BSS views such fitments?
Hi there,
I have a Villager solid fuel stove - Good condition, 2 doors, flu can be attached top or back. This is a reasonably large stove - ie a bit larger than one you might use in a narrow boat, we have been using it in our fairly large barge (72 ft x 14ft) but it's just not enough to warm the whole thing!
Also has seperate boiler (rated 20000 BTU) which fits on top if required - can then run a couple of smaller rads.
I will try an find exactly which villager it is
Call me if interested, I can then send you pic
cheers

Your stove is the dogs bolloc£s ,i am really impressed. Not enough room in my boat or I would be having a go at making a copy,no shortage of raw materials on the river banks around here.
