Suncoast 40

Does anyone have any info or opinions on a Van Den Stadt design Suncoast 40. The one I have seen is built in steel by a Dutch yard. Any comments on seaworthiness and sailing ability would be most appreciated.

Hi ajn,

are you still an owner of a Suncoats 40 or could you give me some advices and experiences?

I wonder how much headroom is in the aft cabin, the lavatories, the maincabin and the forepeak. Ho long are the berths? I am 187 cm tall, my son 196 (! - too much I consider). What are the weak spots of the boat, what should be inspected seriously before a puchase? Ofcourse ultrasonic testing/measurement - what else?
It seems to me, that the 40' has a nicer shape as the most other steel yachts, even from De Stadt.
