What would be a good London venue?

Is Southbank good closed to Blacfriars and Waterloo?

Anywhere on the tube network (pref zone 1) is OK with me.... I come in via nth London (into Kings Cross and then tube to Liverpool Street - I hold my breath when I think about that), but don't mind going south of the river if that suits others...

I just find this rather worrying that I am new to this site and the first thing I click on is ...... ' I need a drink'. This is especially poignant given the rum & coke in my hand. wish I could join you but seems too far to travel from Liverpool to lubricate my tonsils. But have one for me, hic!
