Hello folks
I hear there is a wooden boat festival on in Suffolk / Norfolk in June. Does anyone have more information on this, such as who is organising it / is there a website etc

What other get-togethers are there in the UK / near continent for small wooden boats?

Anyone I haven't bored yet about my Broom, there are pics of her low down the page at

Thames Traditional Boat Rally, Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire.

Great weekend, with all sorts of wooden boats, motor, steam, sail and unpowered, plus shoreside trade stands, boat jumble and other assorted activities, including distractions for youngsters.

In June each year. 2002 is around the weekend of 22/23 or 29/30.

If you want more contact me privately by email.

As you have a baby Broom you might also like to take a look at:

http://www.cmba.classic-marine.co.uk/

They cater for Classic Motor Boats of the speed boat variety. Last couple of chances to blast across Windermere before the speed limits come in!

Many thanks for that link, I shall join immediately.

Sadly, the guy who was running the Broom Owners Club (or whatever it's latest name was) has just chucked in the towel and I haven't got time to do that kind of thing at the moment. Presumably you are a member of the CMBA...so maybe see you at Windermere?

Where in the country are you? I am near Lymington. Maybe see you on the water before then?

Cheers.

I'm at Henley on Thames. So I'll certainly be at the Trad Boat Rally. Highlight of my season. You might see me on the Solent but it won't be in Fly. I've got something more grown up for that.

If time permitted Windermere would be great.
