View Full Version : Yanmar 1GM10 oil filter
Does any one know of an equivalent type I could pick up from a car assessory shop, also the alternator belt? Thanks in anticipation
Why bother? There are plenty of mail order sources. They are not high cost items.
The filter for a Vauxhall Cavalier 1.7TD 92-96? fits ok. It is slightly longer than the original and increases the oil capacity of the engine slightly. The Cavalier engine was an Izuzu Diesel hence the Japanese connection. regards Derek Walker
Will it fit the 2GM20 as well?
As I was grateful to note from a posting on this BB some months ago the Mazda 323 filter fits the 2GM : I can confirm it does : I've just tried it!
Fram filter number PH4870 for a Proton fits 1GM 10
you can get good belts from fenner power transmissions - branches in most big towns. they are the pucka power tranmsiion belts, and much cheaper than yanmar. sizes for a 2gm are z510 for water pump and a770 (13mmx750mm) for alternator.
Thanks for your responses all gratefully recieved Richard
