Hi
Just wondering if anyone knew my grandfather a marine engineer who used to live in Widnes, then Cronton. His last Voyage was known to be 1997... he started sailing out of Liverpool in 1951... so he was at sea for a long time!!

He's known to have sailed on Stena King & Queen, Lady of Mann, amongst many others... He was initially qualified as a steam engineer, but then as times changed he moved onto other things - them modern diseasle things and naasssty nuclear!!!
I know its a bit of a long shot... but hey, worth a try!

Send an email to NUMAST, the Merchant Navy union, at info@numast.org and ask them to put your enquiry into the (MN) Telegraph monthy magazine.

The magazine is sent out to all UK registered ships and all MN and Ex-MN officers who are still members of NUMAST.

There is bound to be someone who knew him.
