How about a get-together afloat this May Day bank holiday?
Anyone interested?
Where would be a good meeting point?

Just had a look a the Fleet 5-day weather forecast - seems the best day for the good ship Guapa to make the Ostend-UK crossing would be this Saturday.

Magna Carter and I and perhaps others are meeting at Bradwell on Saturday afternoon/Evening, departing Sunday sometime. If you remember, I was supposed to be waving an empty goblet at you sometime......this weekend.
Stargazer in Walton Backwaters I think.....
Open to suggestion for Sunday/Monday.

See other thread.... here (http://www.ybw.com/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/1022472/an/0/page/0#1022472)

But too exotic for us - after a 12hr Channel X-ing don't think I'll be up to dodging sandbanks.

Don't think I've forgotten about you and your goblet (how could I).

Bradwell could be possible (Green Man?), but would have to watch HW/LW.
Seem to remember there's a bar to cross & Guapa draws 2.1m (7ft in old money).

Would need to check - almanac on the boat.

Might see you there, or on the Sunday (Brigitte's working on Monday).
Always welcome to bring your goblet & crew along.

Confirming that the Ipswich Haven unit of the East Coast Squadron will indeed be wibbling about in the Walton BW Saturday and Sunday. (still sweating on the engine being reassembled tho')

Stargazer Out.

There's a Cill at Bradwell, but its a decent tide, and HW is 13h30ish, and you'd be fine several hours either side.....

A pint Saturday afternoon/evening in the Green Man is high on my list of priorities for this weekend... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We've now changed our plans to be there Saturday instead of Sunday so see you in the Green Man

Cill err Black? Sill, sill Man!Your usually reliable spelling has gone astray today. Buck Up.

For Guapa, I am prepared to survey the muddy bit on the entrance in advance, as I can transmogrify my depth requirement from 3ft sod all to 7ft 1in as per his requirement.
You can wait outside too if I remember, but its a bouy a little way past the mouth of the creek, in the river.

Absence of beer has forced error..... that 'n being down at Maggie last night gluing carpets to the forepeak walls until 2am....... not sure if its the late hour, or the glue fumes thats done for me!

Now listen Mate, you can be either a glue sniffer or a carpet muncher, but trying to be both simultaneously can only end in tears.

Ooeh errr.....

The tears would go well with the purple spotted dancing pigs dressed as fairies that were in the forcabin last night as I started to apply the glue to the second wall!
