After being observed reversing all around Burnham Yacht Harbour today, I was wondering if I could reverse all the way to Ostend? Bit slow at 3.7kts but can prevent the bow weathercocking all over the place if the wind is in the wrong direction.
What grade wellies would you recommend to keep my feet dry with the inevitable slop over the open transom?

I wouldn't get unduly worried about it.... I was observed reversing all around Neptune Marina today for much the same reasons.....

Nope.... just trying to get to the fuel berth without hitting anything... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
And...???
Did you succeed - or is the premium going up?
Much is to be said for the quality of your reversing - well done!
However, it renders one deaf!

Oh yes...... no collisions to report... but interestingly small slot for breezy days though!
In fact, I steer the boat better backwards than forwards... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
