makes me feel a lot better ,all we have done is add hot water, navtex, self steering,
new wind, CQR. dinghy, all in all about 4,500 squids -but then the boat is only two years old
it is a continuos business .but we have now stopped and are loading boat up to go, propobally in four days.
I guess it will all be worthwile.........
Yes it does seem to go on and on.......the trick must be knowing when to say enough and then go and find out what you really need.
Good luck and where are you heading?

And don't forget:
Windscoop.
Bush hat with a wide brim for shade.
Finally buy a cheap plastic sextant, learning astro by comparing results against a GPS position is fun.
Thanks,
I am planning to learn astro on the Atlantic leg, should be interesting.

You've done well with your £13000. We have been in chaos here for the last few days. House is now empty (almost) and boat is now full. We still await our windvane steering, new sails and trystail track, to be fitted (hopefully at leasure) in the next 6 weeks. I will be losing my internet connection tomorrow, unless I buy one of those new fangled mobile things. Best of luck John, hope we will meet up in our travels, look out for Notre Cas, if you call into Jersey before you sail of to Gib, we should still be here at the end of June and we are in Elizabeth Marina, call in, we would love to meet. Fair winds.
Thanks Norma,
We will look out for you, happy sailing and fair winds to you both. A new and exciting life awaits you. We enjoyed reading your posts and knowing there was someone else in as much chaos as us!!!
Hope to see you pop up on this board now and again.
Good luck!
John and Nicola.

Good luck you lot. Haven't yet added up how much we've spent - last jobs now being done e.g. fitting baby stay, connecting Adverc.
We're off in two weeks - ankle seems to be mending nicely, so should be O.K. for June 1st. Will keep an eye out for everyone in Portugal.
Happy sailing,
Cynth
