I'm a bit bored at the mo.

We came off the Thames and moved to sailing in 2001. In the 10 or so years that we were on the Thames we found rowers (and their loud bullet support boats that made so much wash) the rudest river users we had ever encountered. We were aware of what our wash could do to them and always slowed down and never a nod of the head as an acknowledgement.

Tell me, has anything changed??

Nope.

They menace other rivers like the medway too!

They still win prizes for rudeness but Narrowboaters are gaining ground especially in matters of seamanship.

Now look, we've got a real Thames Forum now so all this nasty sidewswiping has got to stop.
We need a responsible, caring and conciliatory attitude and a forward looking approach to dealing with these problems.

Now, heres your starter for 10........

If you asked 100 rowers what one short blast means what replies do you think you would get?

Too Easy

WASH would be the reply 9 times out of ten
