Bloody hell! Used to be 19p if you took 1200 litres, that was only two years ago! I know oil has gone up, but 9p a litre, no bloody way!

ljs, we've delayed our W Country trip for as long as we can hoping for a sustained spell of good weather but we're going last 2 weeks in August come what may
As a local, where are the cheapest spots to fill up between Torquay and Penzance and is there any truth in the rumours about fuel quality in Falmouth?

QAB in Plymouth were 30p, and Exmouth Marina the same price. Haven't come across anywhere cheaper.

Enjoy your cruise!

Salcolmbe fuel barge will do 32p or less if you thump him enough. Fowey, boat yard on right hand side of river. 28p last year. No reason to doubt the fuel quality of Falmouth fuel barge but if worried get it at the marina.
Dont both going as far as Penzance, its a dump. Unless going round Lands End or Sillys, then maybe better to stop at Newlyn. Even bigger dump but no lock gates to escape from in the morning.

No one can force me to come here-----------

Can someone bring me up to date on the pricing in Cowes? It always used to be best.

John

Hi,
Cowes is now 24p and will do 22p for over 1000 litres. Warsash is the same and are open longer hours.

I came back from the IOW having viewed a nice elderly wooden Motor Sailer when I spotted a real old GRP smoker with newish 330 hp engines and suddenly had the idea that going back to something smallish and fast after 15 years might be fun, but at the 38p mentioned earlier I was a bit put off.

Cherbourg in 3...umm

Maybe I'll make that bid....

John
