Still processing my boat to buy query for Cuba. Was looking at the prices of fine american monohulls and a 20 year old 13m Sabre (S42) costs €90k/£70k/$140k. Great interior, well built, balanced, amazing galley, 2 heads and the great fold down bulkhead table - great. Quality hardware and classic looks. Comparing this boat to a 10 yearold AWB (Sun Od 40) at the same price what would your query return?
It doesn't seem to add up or maybe to update a 20 year old boat costs more? Also if in the future the $ appreciates this could cover asset depreciation which should be at the bottom of the curve anyway.
What's wrong in my SQL?

I would tend to go for the Sabre - they are seriously nice boats. Never mind that it is 20 years old, and at the same price as the 10 year old Jeanneau. Hulls dont wear out tooo fast. It is possible that a lot of the kit on the Sabre has already been updated (?), whereas on the 10 year old boat, it might not have been?

Now we have the credit crunch, do people think second hand boat prices will fall.
