Ooh, a new board. As I want to be the first to post on it I thought that as there's quite a few of us based on the east coast, anyone fancy an evenings get together? Nothing big or complicated, just meet up in a marina or anchorage that we can all get to easily one saturday night for a few beers, a couple of bottles of wine and some good food.
And even if no-one's interested, at least I've had the honour of de-virginising this forum.

Sounds like a good idea, sometime. Mate + I down this week, 2 boats, based at Ramsholt on the Deben, but both got wife/partner with us so our options are limited. Also weather on Sunday may be iffy which could give us a problem getting back into Deben as other halfs don't like big waves, etc. Will review situation tommorow and if anything possible will post, but probably better to organise ahead, in a few weeks time. Regards. Paul

Hi there, Jacket (?Jacket - why?) we have a boat in Neptune Marina, Ipswich, and were down in the Backwaters last weekend, and live just outside Cambridge. Oh, so local! I dont think we can do it this weekend, but some other time?

Count us in if you fancy meeting up. We are on the Orwell at Pinmill - Wrabness is alwasy a good bet for mooring and a barbeque.

Went to Wolverstone on Sat 6th September and seem to remember it cost me £16.50 for my 30ft boat. Cannot complain about the showers and toilet facilities, they are newish and excellent. I certainly do appreciate being able to have a decent shower. I am sure you will have one onboard. I prefer not to be in a marina, but I do like a shower and as I have a swinging mooring it is usefull to top up water and deisel every so often. Had a great walk to Pin Mill and quite a good meal at the But & Oyster with several decent pints as well. Not too happy mooring off Wolverstone as the big boats swing very near sometimes. Paul
